Carol was born to Beatrice (Meyer) Jones and the late Lloyd Jones in Elizabeth, NJ on Feb. 25, 1945.
The family of four moved to Granville Summit, PA in the spring of 1953. In 1963, Carol graduated from Troy High School and was married to her lifelong partner Douglas Earl Bennett. Carol and Doug were married 52 years and raised two children.
She worked at the First Bank of Troy, Eastern Home Care and Oxygen, and Stulls Flowers. They loved square dancing together during their younger love with the Grand Paraders. Carol enjoyed spending time with family, traveling, fishing, kayaking, camping, and prided herself as a homemaker. She also truly enjoyed watching her flowers grow and collecting angels.
The family will receive friends 10 am to noon, Thursday, March 24th at the Fellowship Bible Church, 121 Mudcreek Road in Troy. The funeral service in celebration of Carol’s life will follow at 12 noon, with her Pastor, Mark Steckiel officiating. A meal will follow the committal service in the Leroy Cemetery at the church.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial donation in Carol’s name to the Fellowship Bible Church that will be used towards the purchase of an Automated Electronic Defibulator. The Pepper Funeral Home, 578 Springbrook Drive in Canton is assisting the family with arrangements.
