
Barbara Ann, “Barb” to family and friends, was born October 4, 1946 in Canton. She was a member of Canton High School’s graduating class of 1964.
Barb possessed a strong work ethic all her life. In early years she was employed in Williamsport by Cobbler’s Shoe Co. and the Avco/Textron Corp. She also worked at Ward Manufacturing in Blossburg and Canton’s Parker Hannifin Corp., most recently working for Kmart in Wysox. Barb was also an accomplished bowler, receiving many awards and trophies over the years. She was a member of Canton’s Church of Christ (Disciples of Christ) and the International American Machinist, IAM Union, Local 1190.
Family, home and especially her grandchildren were very important in Barb’s life. She will be remembered as a kind person who would offer help to anyone in need.
Barb enjoyed reading, researching her family genealogy, riding motorcycle, bus trips and traveling with friends and family.
She was predeceased by her father, Murray Earl Rutty in 1998; special uncle, Donald Rutty and nephew Richard Rinebold
Funeral services was Sunday, January 28, at Pepper Funeral Home and Cremation Facility, 578 Springbrook Dr. Canton, with Rev. Nancy Beahm officiating.
Burial will be held in Beech Flats Cemetery at a later date.
