Born September 2nd, 1936 in Philadelphia, Pa., he was the son of Harry C. Woodington, Sr. and Catherine (Onley) Woodington.
Harry grew up in the Wissinoming section of Philadelphia, and following his graduation from Mastbaum Vocational Technical High School enlisted in the U. S. Navy, achieving the rank of Petty Officer 3rd Class.
After graduating from Wilmington (DE) College Harry was employed at Boeing Aircraft in suburban Philadelphia, eventually becoming senior manager. It was there that he helped build the legendary Chinook helicopters which were the work horses of the Vietnam War. Harry remained with Boeing for 35 years. He was a member of the Helicopter Society of America.
