The funeral was held at the Gerald W. Vickery, Jr. Funeral Home, Inc. Troy, PA, June 19 with Reverend Garry Zuber of the First Baptist Church of Troy officiating.
Interment was be in Glenwood Cemetery, Troy.
Cora M. Roby, Age 90, of Route 6 Troy, passed away on Tuesday, June 16, 2015 at the Troy Community Hospital. Cora was born December 23, 1924 in Mill Hall, PA daughter of the late Harry C. & Nettie M. (VanHorn) Allen. She was a graduate of Mill Hall High School. She and Paul R. Roby, Jr were married April 20, 1959 and celebrated 56 years together.

Interment was be in Glenwood Cemetery, Troy. On the evening of June 16th, 2015, Alice Jane Williams of Lock Haven passed away quietly at Manor Care in Jersey Shore. She was 67 years of age. Born in Roaring Branch January 27th, 1948, she was the daughter of Lewis A. and Gladys (Freeman) Williams. Alice was devoted to her parents, looking and keeping house for them. She enjoyed picnics and visits with her family. She loved to talk and laugh, and was a big fan of traditional Irish music. She was also known for being a talented artist. Of paramount importance in her life was her faith in the Lord. She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church and drew strength from reading the Scriptures each day.
Robert W. "Bob" Kunkle Jr., 66, Towanda, Pa., Asylum Township, passed away Tuesday afternoon, June 16, 2015 at his home following declining health.
Bob was born on Feb. 8, 1949 in Sayre, the son of Robert W. Kunkle Sr. and Vina M. Groover Kunkle. He was a graduate of Towanda High School class of 1968 and later served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. On April 11, 1970 he married the former Lola J. Vanderpool at the Liberty Corners United Methodist Church. Bob was employed by the Claverack Rural Electric Company for 30 years as a lineman and serviceman until his retirement in 2004. Dayl L. Ripley, 64, of Mansfield, PA, died Sunday June 14, 2015 at Troy Community Hospital.
She was born April 24, 1951 in Binghamton, NY a daughter of Leonard Rockwell and Janet (Newberry) Roblyer. She was the Club Administrator at Corey Creek Golf Club for over 25 years. A former member of the women's bowling league at Terrace Lanes, Troy, Dayl enjoyed spending time with her beagles, gardening, and the outdoors. Christy Lee (Ricci) Sterling, 38, of Gillett, PA passed away on Friday, June 12, 2015 at the Robert Packer Hospital. She was the loving wife of Curtis A. “Schooch” Sterling, II. The couple married December 29, 1999 and had 15 happy years together. Christy was born on October 13, 1976 in Pottstown, PA, daughter of the late Vincent C. Ricci, Jr. She was a graduate of Troy High School, Class of 1995 and was a member of the Lighthouse Baptist Church in Horseheads, NY. Christy was a wonderful cook and was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Reginald Diodati, 86, Troy, PA passed away unexpectedly Thursday, June 11, 2015, at Memorial Hospital in Towanda. Reginald Robert Diodati was born May 10, 1929 in Methuen, Mass. He was a son of the late Ralph and Marie (Victor) Diodati. After serving in the U.S. army, Reginald was employed as an engineer for Gerber Scientific Instruments in Connecticut for many years until retiring. He and his wife of 60 years, the former Ingrid Loeffeck, made their home in Bradford County 28 years ago. Reginald possessed a loving spirit and was a devoted husband, brother and friend. In addition to his wife Ingrid, surviving are brothers, Ralph Drew, Georgia and Ronald R. Diodati, Maine; niece, Cynthia Diodati, Maine. In keeping with Mr. Diodati’s wishes, there are no public services. His remains will be placed on his beloved property. Pepper Funeral Home is assisted his family with arrangements. On December 1, 1939, Fred Milton Wilcox was born at the family’s dairy farm in LeRoy Township. He was a son of the late Wilber M. and Dorothy “Leona” (Buck) Wilcox. Fred was a 1958 graduate of Canton High School. He married the former Judy Jenkins on May 5, 1959 in Troy. They shared 56 wonderful years together and raised three children. Fred was a kind and supportive person who loved his family, their wellbeing always came first. Anyone who knew Fred’s work ethic knew he was never one to shirk from a difficult job. For many years he was employed by Canton’s Bellows Valvair Co. and became a shop foreman. Barbara Ellen (Newell) Kendall, 86, Troy, passed away peacefully, June 9, 2015 at Twin Oaks Personal Care Home, Granville Township.
Barbara was born November 17, 1928 in Springfield Township, the daughter of the late Lawrence and Dorothy (Ward) Newell. After graduating from Troy High School, Barbara married Robert G. Kendall on August 14, 1947 and together they raised their three children in the home they built on Mud Creek Road. They celebrated 54 years of marriage before Robert passed away on December 3, 2001. Janet Segur, 97, of Canton, passed away peacefully while surrounded by her loving family on Monday, June 8, 2015 at Troy Community Hospital.
Born November 19, 1917 in Williamsport, Janet Mae Watts Segur was one of three children of the late Perry and Dena (Ameigh) Watts. She graduated from Canton High School with the class of 1934. On January 8, 1944, she married Francis Segur. They made their home on the family dairy farm in Ward Township and raised two sons. |
