Nicole Denise Ferris Keefe, 43, Duncannon, PA, passed away February 12, 2015 at her Penn Twp. home, surrounded by her family, after losing her battle with cancer.

Whitesell, Gillett, PA was born December 8, 1916 inthe daughter of the late Bradley and Iva (Culver) Seymour, went home to be with her Lord on February 10, 2015 at St. Joseph's Hospital at the age of 98.
Frances was a member of the Fassett Baptist Church for many years. Shirley R. Sullivan of Lansing passed away February 9, 2015, at the age of 87, surrounded by her loving family. Born June 19, 1927 in Masten, PA, she was a daughter of the late Jasper and Almira (Walker) Robbins. In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her brothers, Bernard, Emmett, Merrill and Theron Robbins, all of Canton, PA; her sisters, Laura Koernig of Philadelphia, PA, Marjorie Cott of Williamsport, PA, and Mary Jane Saxe of Dayton OH; and granddaughter in-law, Kimberly Mikula of Buffalo, NY. Thomas L. Baxter, 66, of Columbia Cross Roads, PA passed away Sunday, February 8, 2015 at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville. Tom was born April 16, 1948 in Teaneck, NJ, a son of the late Prescott G. and Eileen M. (Galipeau) Baxter. After graduating from Pascack Valley Regional High School, Tom received an Associates degree from SUNY Agricultural and Technical College in Cobleskill, NY. Earl C. Werner, 75, of Millerton, passed away Saturday, February 7, 2015 at Dar-Way Elder Care in Estella.
Born May 14, 1939 in West Orange, N.J. Earl was the only child of Earl and Lillian (Voorhees) Werner. Although he could be set in his ways, Earl was known to be kind, easy-going and a gentleman. His interests included reading and art. Mable Nellie deBruin, 87, of Canton, passed away on Saturday, February 7, 2015 at the Troy Community Hospital. Mable was born May 31, 1927 in Grover. She was the last surviving of four children of the late John Edwin and Mildred (Rutty) Preston. Even though she often had strong opinions and told it as she saw it, Mable was a loving, kind person and a devoted friend to many. She would volunteer her help to anyone in need. Mable was a member of the Grover Church of Christ and a life-member of the Minnequa Grange #754. Other memberships included Bradford/Sullivan Pomona Grange #23, Canton’s V.F.W. #714 Auxiliary and the Roaring Branch Marine Corps League’s Deer X-ing Detachment. Mable enjoyed times shared with friends, especially while playing bingo and cards, usually Euchre. She also adored her cats and loved to read. Patricia (Bannick) Harkness, 87, formerly of Troy and Sayre, passed away on Wednesday, February 04, 2015 at the Highlands Care Center in Laporte, PA. She was the loving wife of the late John O. Harkness, Jr. who passed away on February 5, 1981. The couple married and had 35 happy years together.
Doris Stage, 89, passed away peacefully on February 3, 2015, at the home of her son James, in Tioga, PA. She was preceded in death by her husband, George, with whom she worked together in farming for many years.
Dorothy O. “Dottie” (Field) Kuyper, 75, of Troy went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at her home with her family by her side. She was the loving wife of John C. “Jack” Kuyper. The couple married June 4, 1960 and had 54 wonderful years together.
Florence Reese, 84, of Ralston, passed away at home on Tuesday, February 3, 2015. Born June 19, 1930 in Williamsport, Florence, “Flo”, was a daughter of the late Kermit E. and Gladys B. (Grenell) Starr. After graduating from Ralston High School in 1948, Florence studied cosmetology and received her certificate to teach hairdressing. On May 3, 1952, she married Robert D. Reese in Ralston. She and Bob shared 46 wonderful years together and raised seven children before his passing in 1998. Florence enjoyed being active in her church and community. She was an active member of the Ralston United Methodist Church, especially with the King’s Daughters Class, a Methodist women’s group; The church’s Parsonage Committee and Pastor Parish Relations Committee. She also served as communion steward and held many offices on the church’s board. Florence was a life-member of the Ralston Area Volunteer Fire Company Auxiliary and was secretary of Ralston High School’s Alumni Assoc. |
